Baofeng UV-5R Charger Upgrade

My HAM friend's (AP2AUM) Baofeng UV-5R charger has a 10V DC wall wart which went belly up. The charger was saved but as a non standard 220V-10V wall wart is not common, I opted for a 12VDC input for the charger. This would required some intervention :), the solution is to add a 7810 regulator between input and charging section of the charger.

 Found a dry sold above

 Had to break the trace inout to the charger near blue wire, yellow is 12v+ to regulator, black is 12v-, blue is the 10V output of regulator, Regulator 7810 with heat sink and caps for smoothing.
